LETHAL COMBINATION
Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz is now official! The fight dubbed Lethal Combination will take place on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel and Casino.
The fight with David Diaz will be Manny's 2nd bout this year. Pacman hopes to be the first Asian to hold a championship belt in 4 different divisions.
Manny is heavily favored to win this fight, but because of his moving up one weight division heavier, some doubt if he can retain his power. Under the rules of the Nevada Athletic Commission, boxers who weight in at 135 lbs and above will be required to wear the pillow boxing gloves (10 oz). Manny Pacquiao is used to fighting with the usual puncher's gloves (8 oz).
Freddie Roach will see to it that Pacquiao will be adjusted in their 8 weeks of training at Wild Card Gym Los Angeles.
